Meet the Founder
As a parent, community advocate, and website design consultant, Jessica Valis has spent years navigating the inefficiencies that plague small municipalities: outdated websites, buried agendas, missing records, and unanswered questions. She’s attended her town’s own meetings where critical decisions were made without input from the public—and watched residents give up on participating simply because the system wasn’t built for them.
With a background in digital communications and civic design, Jessica set out to create a platform that solves these everyday pain points. The Local Level is her answer: a simple, accessible, and affordable solution that helps local governments communicate clearly, meet compliance standards, and reconnect with the communities they serve.
